Learn how to make beer with LRB!

May 6. 2018

Come relive some of the common crafts and chores of life in the 1800’s. Beginning at noon and running until 4:00 pm, this event is held at Squires’ Tavern , 100 East River Road in Pleasant Valley. Once again we welcome the Lebanon Old Towne Militia as they set up camp on the grounds of Squires’ Tavern. There will be musket and cannon fire, but we will set up a schedule, so you will know when to cover your ears!

The portable mini-hay baler will be there as well as a blacksmith, corn husk dolls, Farmers’ cheese demo, rush chair seat making, and much more. Come try your hand with old woodworking tools and games.  New this year we will have “The Little Red Barn Brewers “ teaching us about beer making and letting us sample some, including a special “Squire’s Tavern Ale”!  Local Boy Scouts will be selling hotdogs, drinks and snacks and Girl Scouts will be selling desserts. We will also have a sheep shearing, provided we can find a sheep who is willing!

Save the date and come and join us for a fun afternoon.
